Newshound ("NewHound", "we", "us") operates AI-powered local newsletters and news digests for communities across the United States. Our services include web-based news feeds, email newsletters, event calendars, push notifications, and SMS alerts (collectively, the "Service"). Content is curated and summarized by artificial intelligence and is provided for informational purposes only.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using our Service — including subscribing to newsletters, receiving SMS alerts, or submitting content — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. SMS messaging terms

When you provide your phone number and opt in to SMS alerts, you agree to receive automated text messages from Newshound related to local news, weather alerts, road closures, event reminders, and other community updates.

• Message frequency varies by community and alert activity (typically 0–5 messages per day).
• Message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan.
• To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message or remove your phone number from your profile settings.
• For help, reply HELP or email hello@newshound.news.
• We will never share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.
• Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most US carriers. Carrier support not guaranteed.

4. AI-generated content

Much of the content you see on our platform is summarized or curated by AI. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but we cannot guarantee it. Do not rely solely on our content for emergency or life-safety decisions. Original source links are provided — always verify with the primary source for breaking news or emergencies.

5. User submissions

When you submit ideas, feedback, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and incorporate that content into our Service. You represent that you own or have rights to everything you submit and that submissions do not violate any law or third-party rights.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use our Service to transmit spam, conduct automated scraping, impersonate others, or engage in any unlawful activity. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time.
